Tour Overview

Sunset kayaking, what better way to experience a Florida sunset than by departing an island under a setting tropical sun? Our Sunset Kayak tour is a relaxing, fun way to end a perfect day on Florida’s eastern coast. Savor the moment as the sun sets on another day in paradise. After a little bit of basic paddling instruction, we will launch from our sandy beach and make our way into the Banana River. While paddling the area, be sure to keep your eyes open for a cruising dolphin, swimming sea turtles, lounging manatee, spotted eagle rays, jumping mullet, and as the sky darkens, bioluminescence jelly fish. After two hours of easy paddling, we will make our way back to our beach in the moonlight.

All kayaks, paddles, safety equipment, bottled water and all of the benefits of a local guide are provided.

Trip Highlights

* Savor the romance and beauty of the setting sun while paddling on tropical waters

* Observe nighttime wildlife from the comfort of your kayak, under the star speckled sky

* End the evening with a swim on our beach followed by a fresh water shower before heading home.

“Though the sun had been lost long before, the water was illuminated still by the silver light of an enormous moon. The only sound came from our paddles as they pulled at the still water. The islands around us, eerie in the vague outlines of their silhouettes, seemed to float on the black water. Their tree-lined hills, stunning in the daylight, were majestic in the moonglow. Across the lake we could make out the warm glow of a distant fire.”
